I was invited to present as a keynote speaker at the Michigan Counseling Association’s 2025 annual conference. Pulling from the U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory: Our Epidemic of Loneliness and Isolation, I spoke about the impact of loneliness across life stages. I discussed the state of mental health in our country and the unique factors that impact loneliness for different life stages. I reviewed various ways mental health professionals can address loneliness with those we serve.
